The Veterans Resource Office (VRO) Development Account provides support, services, resources, activities, and equipment for Veterans, Service Members, and their Dependents pursuing their academic goals.
The VRO gives these amazing students, who have sacrificed so much to maintain the freedoms we enjoy, a place to gather, escape from academic rigors, and an environment to develop the Esprit de Corp with fellow veterans who share similar military and combat experiences.
Often Veterans, Service Members, and Dependents experience a period of difficult transition from military to civilian life, magnified by the academic rigors of returning to school. Occasionally, a student Veteran will find themselves homeless or without enough food to sustain them day-to-day. Our goal this year is to raise funds to help combat student-Veteran hunger and homelessness. We are working with USA Project Valor to pay for a room for the next 12 months to be used by any student-Veterans who finds themselves homeless. These additional resources will certainly have a positive impact on the lives of these amazing students, helping them to achieve their academic goals to create a better life for themselves and their families.
